Overseas Update: Jan. 14, 2013

The following updates include games played through January 14, 2013.

Krystal Thomas  Jiangsu Phoenix (China): Thomas enters the quarterfinals in China against Shanxi on Jan. 15. "The Machine" is averaging 18 points and 14.7 rebounds for Jiangsu while shooting 64 percent from the floor.

Charde Houston  Maccabi Ashdod (Israel): Houston and Maccabi Ashdod remain undefeated at 12-0 in the Israeli League. With just four games left in the regular season, Houston is putting up stellar numbers for Ashdod. She currently averages 18.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 51 percent shooting.

Sammy Prahalis  Prahalis has left Israel for family reasons.

DeWanna Bonner  Nadezhda Orenburg (Russia): Although they lost in the game for third place in the Russian Cup to Dynamo Moscow, Bonner continues to put up all-around stellar numbers for Nadezhda. She currently averages 13.3 points and 7.2 rebounds for the club while shooting 56 percent from the floor and 92 percent from the free-throw line (23-25). They continue play against the Romanian club, Targoviste.

Candice Dupree  Spartak (Russia): Dupree and Spartak lost out on the Russian Cup to Mercury teammate Diana Taurasis UMMC. Dupree averages 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds and hasnt missed a free-throw the entire season (18-18). Dupree also is shooting 56.2 percent from the floor. She and Spartak next face IMOS Brno (Nicole Ohlde) on Jan. 17. .

Diana Taurasi  UMMC Ekaterinburg (Russia): Taurasi and UMMC beat their rivals, Spartak (featuring Taurasis Mercury teammate Candice Dupree), to win the Russian Cup on Jan. 13. Taurasi is amongst the EuroLeague leaders in points (16.3) and assists (5.0) while adding 4.8 rebounds and shooting 52 percent from the floor. They next face CCC Polkowice on Jan. 16.

Lynetta Kizer  KB Stars (South Korea): On Dec. 12, Kizer and the KB Stars fell to the S-Birds 80-71. Kizer had eight points and nine rebounds in the loss. They bounced back on Dec. 16 with a 62-54 win over Bichumi behind Kizers double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Alexis Hornbuckle  Elitzur Holon (Israel): Hornbuckle has played in five games for Elitzur Holon and the team has gone 4-1 during that span. She leads the team in scoring at 18 points per game while also averaging 6.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists. Like Houston, Hornbuckle's team has just four games remaining in the regular season.
