Suns Forward, Phoenix Native Alan Williams Purchases 300 Tickets for Fans to Sunday’s WNBA Semifinals Game

Phoenix Suns forward, Phoenix native and Mercury fan Alan Williams wants to help the Mercury BEAT LA!  He has generously purchased 300 tickets to Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals hosted by the Mercury this Sunday, Sept. 17, at Talking Stick Resort Arena, and has made them available to all fans.  Tickets will be available to be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis on the Fry’s Plaza, just outside of the Casino Arizona Pavilion, beginning at NOON on game day.  Tip-off for the game is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Williams, a Phoenix, Ariz. native, has been a regular attendee to Mercury games the past three seasons.  The Suns’ 2016-17 Majerle Hustle Award winner recently re-signed with the Suns after a strong finish to the team’s 2016-17 campaign.  “Big Sauce” led the Suns with 15 double-doubles last season and averaged 11.4 points and 9.1 rebounds in 24 games following the 2017 NBA All-Star break.

Williams is the second Suns player to purchase tickets to a Phoenix playoff game this season after standout guard Devin Booker bought 270 tickets for college students to the Mercury’s Round 1 WNBA playoff game last Wednesday, played on the campus of Arizona State University.  The outstanding response to that promotion triggered this one.

Be Heard in the Semifinals! Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner and the Phoenix Mercury are in the WNBA’s “Final Four” for the fifth consecutive season and have their sights set on a WNBA-record tying fourth league championship.  Tickets to the team’s next home game—Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Sept. 17—can be purchased by calling 602.252.WNBA or by visiting PhoenixMercury.com.
