Amy Jo Overlin, MD
At Banner University Sports Medicine and Concussion Centers, Dr. Overlin cares for patients of all ages (6 years and older) with musculoskeletal conditions, providing a variety of non-operative treatment options and collaborating with additional specialists to maximize each patient's care. Her goal is to help her athletes get back on the field or in the gym as quickly and safely as possible, helping them to achieve their personal goals.
Currently, she serves as the Head Team Physician for the Phoenix Mercury, and the Tempe Unified School District. She also serves as an Assistant Team Physician for the Phoenix Suns. As a former collegiate level gymnast, Dr. Overlin also enjoys working with many of the local gymnastics’ clubs throughout the greater Phoenix area and serves as the Head Team Physician for the Arizona Men's Collegiate Gymnastics Team. In addition, she has served as a pool physician for USA Ski and is currently the Medical Director for the Pat Tillman Run.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Overlin holds an Assistant Clinical Professorship at The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. She can often be found teaching and lecturing to medical students, residents, and the sports medicine fellows as well as the public on a variety of sports medicine topics.
In her free time she can be found working out at the gym, hiking, downhill skiing and spending time with her partner Bryce Nalepa and her two adult children Andrew and Samantha.
