This could be big! The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury today announced the return of the BG Dunks Promotion giving Mercury fans the chance to cash in big this season. The initiative is simple: every time Mercury star Brittney Griner dunks in a 2019 regular season home game at Talking Stick Resort Arena, one registered fan will win $7,000!  Fans must register at PhoenixMercury.com/BGdunks in order to be eligible.

The Mercury originally launched the BG Dunks promotion a season ago with $5,000 in prize money, but Griner did not record a regular season dunk in 2018. Because of that, and in honor of her seventh WNBA season, the prize has grown to $7,000! Griner is the most prolific dunker in WNBA history— she has recorded 10 regular-season dunks through her first six WNBA seasons, which is 10 of the 13 regular-season dunks in the 21-year history of the WNBA.  BG also has the league’s only playoff dunk in history, and two All-Star Game dunks.
