Mercury Win Game 3 at Home, Forces Game 4 in Phoenix on Sunday

The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury tonight won Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals after topping the Seattle Storm, 86-66, at Talking Stick Resort Arena.   With the win, the Mercury forced a Game 4 in the series, which will also take place on the Mercury’s home court this Sunday, September 2 at 2 p.m. Phoenix Time.

Phoenix came away with tonight’s win behind 27 points and 11 rebounds from DeWanna Bonner, 21 points and 11 rebounds from Brittney Griner and 19 points from Yvonne Turner.  Should the Mercury win on Sunday and for a Game 5, the winner-take-all Game 5 will take place in Seattle on Tuesday, September 5.  Including this season’s playoffs, Mercury guard Diana Taurasi owns a perfect 13-0 career record in winner-take-all games.
