PHOENIX – As the holiday season comes closer, the Phoenix Mercury want to make sure the service provided to us by so many brave men and women is remembered in a special way. The Mercury have teamed up with Wreaths Across America to ensure our fallen veterans are not forgotten. Honoring our servicemen and women has always been a key part of the community relations goals of the Phoenix Mercury and that commitment is year-round.

Wreaths Across America coordinates wreath laying ceremonies at locations across the world. On Saturday, December 12, a group representing the Phoenix Mercury will participate in a local event at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. The wreaths will be paid for by donations and local fundraising groups—including the Phoenix Mercury.

The Phoenix Mercury have set up a donation page where fans and friends of the organization can directly donate and purchase holiday wreaths that will be laid at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. The official Phoenix Mercury donation page is easy to find and can be visited here: http://give.wreathsacrossamerica.org/goto/phoenixmercury.

A donation of just $15 buys a wreath that will be placed in Phoenix. Donations will be collected beginning today through Saturday, December 12 via the official Phoenix Mercury donation page. Through the fundraising page, wreaths can also be left in honor of a loved one.

Interested in joining the Phoenix Mercury team on Saturday, December 12 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona?
