Online Auction of Mercury Memorabilia Begins Today, Benefitting the American Cancer Society
PHOENIX – Rock the Pink Night brought to you by Banner Health, the Phoenix Mercury’s annual event to raise awareness and funds for breast health, returns to Footprint Center on Wednesday, August 28 at 7 p.m. for the game against the Minnesota Lynx.
Throughout the game, the Mercury will honor breast cancer fighters, survivors and their support systems. As part of the initiative, the organization will raise funds for breast health through a post-game auction that will be held on court. Player-worn and autographed Mercury memorabilia will be auctioned off by select players including Diana Taurasi, Brittney Griner, Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud. Auction proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
In addition to the post-game auction, a week-long online auction is live now until Wednesday, August 21 at midnight. Online auction items include one-of-a-kind Mercury apparel from each player on the 2024 Mercury roster. Fans can also donate an amount of their choice through the donation link. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a pink bucket hat. Special edition Rock the Pink merchandise will also be available for fans to purchase in the Team Shop.
