Phoenix Mercury’s Diana Taurasi Purchases 333 Tickets for Fans to Attend 2015 WNBA Playoff Home Games

PHOENIX – The face of the Phoenix Mercury franchise, Diana Taurasi, has joined the city’s swell of support for the 2015 WNBA Playoffs by purchasing 333 seats (in honor of her uniform #3) for each Mercury home playoff game at US Airways Center. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis starting with Round 1, Game 1 this Thursday, Sept. 17, against the Tulsa Shock. The game tips off at 7 p.m. and ticket redemption will begin at 4:30 p.m. on the US Airways Center Plaza.

“I may not be able to support my team in person, but I wanted to do something to help this playoff run,” said the three-time WNBA champion and two-time Finals MVP. “We have the best fans in the league and I know how important they have been every time we’ve won a championship.  This is my way of helping to get people in the arena because I know we have a legitimate shot to win the whole thing again this year.”

Fans may claim up to 4 tickets per person for Thursday’s game beginning at 4:30 p.m. Very limited supplies last.

A three-time WNBA Champion, three-time Olympic gold medalist, and three-time NCAA Champion at UCONN, Taurasi purchased 333 tickets for fans to enjoy each playoff game as the defending champion Mercury pursues its WNBA record-tying fourth league championship. Fans are encouraged to follow the Mercury’s journey towards capturing its second-straight 2015 WNBA Championship at PhoenixMercury.com and stay up-to-date with the team’s schedule for opportunities to attend future home Playoff games.
