After the Phoenix Mercury convincingly defeated the Seattle Storm, 86-66, in Game 3 of the WNBA Semifinals last night, Phoenix Suns forward and Mercury fan Josh Jackson has purchased a block of 500 tickets to Game 4 of the WNBA Semifinals. The Mercury will take on the top-seeded Seattle Storm tomorrow (Sept. 2) at Talking Stick Resort Arena at 2 p.m., as the Mercury will aim to force a winner-take-all Game 5.
Those tickets will be available to be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis on the Fry’s Plaza, just outside the Casino Arizona Pavilion, beginning at Noon tomorrow. Fans may claim up to four tickets per person, while supplies last.
Jackson has consistently shown his support for Arizona’s WNBA franchise since arriving in Phoenix last summer and now joins Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton as Suns players that have supported the Mercury by offering complimentary playoff tickets to basketball fans throughout the Valley this postseason. A number of Suns players, including Booker and Ayton, attended the Mercury’s Game 3 victory last night.
In his rookie campaign, Jackson was named to the 2017-18 NBA All-Rookie Second Team as he averaged 13.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.04 steals while playing 77 games. He elevated his game once the calendar turned to 2018, averaging 17.2 points on 44.0 percent shooting plus 5.6 rebounds and 1.10 steals after New Year’s.
The three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury have clinched its franchise-record sixth consecutive playoff appearance and will aim for a league-record tying fourth WNBA Championship this postseason. Tickets to Game 4 of the WNBA Semifinals tomorrow (Sept. 2) at Talking Stick Resort Arena are available online at PhoenixMercury.com or by phone at 602-252-WNBA.
