The initiative is simple: every time Mercury star Brittney Griner dunks in a 2018 regular season home game at Talking Stick Resort Arena, one registered fan will win $5,000! Griner is the most prolific dunker in WNBA history— she has recorded 10 regular-season dunks through her first five WNBA seasons, which is 10 of the 13 regular-season dunks in the 21-year history of the WNBA. BG also has the league’s only playoff dunk in history, and two All-Star Game dunks. Griner’s most recent dunk in Phoenix came on July 12, 2017, in the Mercury’s 89-84 victory over the Atlanta Dream last season.
