No. 5: Leilani to the Rescue

Leilani Mitchell has been a huge addition to the Mercury in 2015.

Shooting 40-percent from the three-point line and averaging 7.0 points off the bench (second-most in her career), Mitchell has helped to solidify the Mercury’s backcourt while also providing the team with a consistent threat from downtown.

Her defining moment of the season thus far, however, was her late-game heroics on August 27 against the Sun in Connecticut. With no time left on the clock, Mitchell hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Mercury an 81-80 victory.
