Week-long online auction and live postgame auction will raise money for the American Cancer Society

As part of the team’s annual initiative to raise awareness and funds for breast health, the three-time WNBA Champion Phoenix Mercury will host Rock the Pink Night brought to you by Banner Health this Saturday. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. at Footprint Center, as the team takes on the New York Liberty.

Throughout the game, the Mercury will honor cancer survivors, battlers and medical professionals in attendance, and will include survivors in pregame player introductions and the presentation of the national anthem. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will be treated to a pink rally towel and fans can score a Rock the Pink shirt ($29.99) or hat ($39.99) in the Mercury Team Shop

AUCTIONS

As part of the Rock the Pink initiative, the team will hold two separate auctions of signed Mercury gear and other one-of-a-kind memorabilia, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. There will be a week-long online auction (starting tomorrow) as well as a live, in-person auction, taking place on the court following Saturday’s game. Different items will be available at each auction.

ONLINE

Starting on Wednesday, August 3 at 10 a.m. and going through Wednesday, August 10 at 12 a.m., the Mercury will be hosting their online auction. Fans can click HERE to bid on their favorite items.

LIVE POSTGAME

Immediately following Saturday’s game, fans are invited to take part in a live on-court auction hosted by in-arena host, Weezy. Mercury players – Diana Taurasi, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Sophie Cunningham, Kia Nurse, Brianna Turner, and Shey Peddy – will all be on site to help auction off their own personally donated, autographed items, such as game-worn Diana Taurasi sneakers, a Skylar Diggins-Smith 2022 All-Star jersey, and even a pair of Diamond DeShields’ trademark Oakley goggles. The auction will also feature one special Brittney Griner item.
