The Phoenix Mercury is teaming up with Waddell & Reed, Inc. to host a basketball clinic for Valley youth on Saturday, August 20 beginning at 3 p.m. on the Mercury’s main court at Talking Stick Resort Arena. The clinic is free and open to the public.

Fans interested in participating can RSVP at PhoenixMercury.com/waddell. Registration begins at 2:30 p.m. in the Casino Arizona Pavilion.

Mercury forward Mistie Bass, guard Alex Harden and members of the Mercury coaching staff will be on hand to lead basketball drills including ball handling, shooting, defense and rebounding.

While the children are learning basketball fundamentals, adults (ages 18 and older) in attendance are invited to attend a brief information-only seminar on the arena’s practice court to learn about saving for college and Waddell & Reed’s Ivy Funds InvestEd 529 Plan. Upon completion of the seminar, each adult will receive two free tickets to see the Phoenix Mercury host the Dallas Wings on August 26. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.*
