2024 Phoenix Mercury Hip Hop Squad Open Call Auditions

4:00-5:00pm, Audition begins promptly at 5:00pm

Ability 360 (5031 E Washington St., Phoenix, AZ 85034)
Parking:
Free parking is available
Attire:
Wear whatever you feel most confident and comfortable in!
Make sure you can move freely in your audition attire and wear something that shows your style and personality! Please wear shoes with non-marking soles. We do not require any specific attire, hair or makeup, etc.
Bring:
- Non-returnable 8×10 Headshot
- Non-returnable Resume, please include previous performance experience
- Water
- Extra shoes or clothing if needed
- Snacks if needed
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age by May 1st
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Although it is a part time position, you must be available for all Mercury home games and evening rehearsals twice per week.
- There is no minimum or maximum height or weight requirements. All nationalities, genders, body types, are welcome.
- Open call auditions will be closed to spectators
- Finalists will be required to attend training camp and Live Finals at Tempe Marketplace on February 23rd.
What to expect:
OPEN CALL AUDITIONS x February 18th
Warm up and learn choreograpy
Perform routine in small groups in front of a panel of judges
Break and first round of cuts
Second round, repeat the same choreography for judges
Break and second round of cuts
TRAINING CAMP x February 21st
7:45pm – 10:30pm
Location will be disclosed to finalists
You will be learning additional choreography and various skills
Interview through the week
Prepare for final auditions
LIVE FINALS x February 23rd
6:30pm – 8:30pm
Tempe Marketplace Main Stage by Dave and Busters (2000 E Rio Salado Pkwy, Tempe, AZ 85281)
Perform your final pieces learned at auditions and training camp in front of a live audience and panel of judges
Team will not be announced live on stage
